Salmon is a successful professional services firm specialising in the delivery of technology-based business solutions to predominantly the Retail, Insurance and Finance sectors. This is a key role working with us on a high-profile engagement for a leading multi-channel organisation based in the North West of England. Our preference is for locally based resources with significant J2EE expertise and exposure to ecommerce platforms. The successful applicant will need to work with our client on a critical development initiative to provide significant business benefits to this major organisation based in the North West. Role will be as project manager with a technical background involving Ecommerce and J2EE environments. Pragmatic style with excellent client facing communication skills required. Long term opportunity. The candidate must have taken significant responsibility and prior experience in with dealing highly complex technical delivery projects with significant budget and resource. Experience Requirements •5yrs+ project management experience •Delivery experience in J2EE environments •Delivery experience of non-packaged web/ecommerce solutions Experience in retail Supplier and client management experience •Knowledge of Prince 2 •Full knowledge of the project lifecycle and any project development methodologies •Experience of managing people and financial budgets (including project budgeting, monitoring financials etc). •Experience of working on his/her own initiative to an agreed action plan. •Prior Experience in Retail/Ecommerce •Working Knowledge of Open source technology •Strong leadership skills •Strong time management & organisational skills. •High level of communication, interpersonal and presentation skills including experience of writing accurate and concise reports.
