City based tier 1 investment bank require a Project Manager, with some career experience as a Software Developer OO Java or C++, to play a key role within Credit Risk IT- where a number of initiatives are in progress to continually improve financial exposure measurement and control processes. Running various projects, duration from a few months to programmes of several years. This exciting role will initially include managing 2 releases across the Credit Risk infrastructure, ensuring all development, test, and implementation steps are successfully delivered. To be effective in this role the candidate must: have financial institution/investment banking environment exp; familiarity with the process of pricing/valuation of financial products and/or financial risk management; have experience of managing business change projects involving system development solutions across a distributed systems infrastructure; have demonstrated successful project implementations involving team sizes of 15+ people; be driven to achieve deadlines to realise the business benefits associated with IT projects as early as possible; have proven interpersonal skills to establish excellent working relationships with a wide variety of people; have excellent communication skills to ensure relevant information about the project flows to the right recipients.
