Experienced Software Configuration Engineers required for London based consultancy. Skills required: Windows Server, .NET, Visual Source Safe, build tools, Visual Studio. You will be responsible for preparing the software configuration management plan and maintaining it throughout the project life cycle as well as defining the software configuration processes/guidelines/standards for a project and ensuring that they are being followed. You will need knowledge of Windows Server Software (Windows 2000/2003, XP, IIS, etc) coupled with Visual Studio .NET, IDE experience to create deployment packages (MSI install packs). Knowledge of .NET build processes and MSI packaging is essential as well as the ability to write build scripts using any build tool eg Make, NMake, Ant, Nant, AntHill, MSBuild etc. Experience of Visual Source Safe (VSS) for branching/pinning and labelling is required. It would also be advantageous to have knowledge of other CM tools like Clear Case, CVS, etc from configuration management perspective, customisation perspective and administration perspective. This client offers the ability to work on exciting client projects across the South East England. You will need a willingness to travel.
