Consultancy based in London is seeking a Java Technical Consultant. The job purpose is to support the technical pre-sales process for securing & growing the technical capability for Java solutions on the JBoss platform; understand scope & detail of business requirements; translate business problems into viable software solutions; provide coaching/technical mentoring, sharing best practice; design & implementation of applications; lead technical activities of solution implementation & supporting & leading a team of on/offshore resources. Responsibilities include: understand & trial leading edge technologies & techniques; understand business requirements; define technical specifications; own the technical solution design; act as liaison between client & technical team; provide coaching/technical mentoring; perform reviews to ensure standards & architectural quality; provide best practise advice on appropriate techniques; build objects, write procedures, develop applications & provide support in meetings with a variety of groups. A key element of this role is to provide JBOSS technical training to junior members of the team. You must have hands-on experience of Enterprise Integration; highly available/redundant solutions; performance monitoring & optimisation; ability to train staff; experience of working with offshore team; Hibernate, WebSphere, Tomcat, DB2/SQL Server, Oracle, Load Balancing solutions etc. This is an excellent opportunity, please apply for more information!.
