GIS Administrator - Dublin, Ireland. GIS Administrator role: to oversee development and deployment of GIS within the company, including the policing of the implementation of the GIS strategy and to act as the fulcrum for Technicians, Developers and Spatial Database Manager. Qualification/certification: ideally should hold certification from a recognised ESRI training provider. To include: introduction to ArcGIS Parts I and II What's New in ArcGIS 9 ArcIMS Administration Customising ArcIMS Using ArcXML ArcSDE Administration for Oracle. Experience: experience in the areas of: delivery of enterprise solutions and their component architectures (data scalability, integration of ESRI technology with corporate databases and enterprise architectures, Internet delivery, software development, hardware requirements); technical input into the GIS strategy of organisations; input into the education of personnel in best-practice use of GIS within an organisation; supporting publication of spatial data in Intranet or Internet platforms; management and administration of ArcIMS Intranet and Internet sites; liaising with external organisations to ensure effective importation and export of information to and from the organisation; input into the administration of ESRI licences across an organisation; input into the training of new users as and when necessary.
