Support Engineer - Windows, desktop/Server - Birmingham or Wythall based location, West Midlands. Top varied role here where you will be working in a mobile and hands-on capacity supporting our client's internal users in the West Midlands, Manchester and Leeds regions. Our client, a £multi million UK-wide prestigious firm is in need of a customer facing and Technical Support Engineer. Typically you will be looking after end-users, supporting them in a desktop capacity on Windows XP systems as well as having to administer Servers, Windows 2000/2003, Active Directory, file shares, networking etc. This is a varied position and you will have to be prepared to help end users from the most basic to advanced level as well as becoming involved in project work and Server administration. Approximately 70% of this role will be field based so you must be comfortable with driving and prepared to travel around the West Midlands, Manchester and Leeds regions, with very occasional travel to Scotland.
